Box pleat trim - my new video is a tutorial for how to make your own!

After years of putting it off and getting in my own way, I joined YouTube!

I love making photo based sewing tutorials and pattern reviews here, and short form videos (like Instagram Reels and TikToks), but I have wanted to make longer form videos for years . It’s taken me some time to muster the courage to film and edit videos, but in the process I learned that I enjoy making them.

My first video is up! Join me on YT for thirteen minutes and forty seconds of How To Sew Box Pleat Trim! This tutorial walks you through all the steps to making one of my favorite decorative elements for special garments.

I have already created a few videos, so I'll post 1-2 per week for a bit, and then settle into a rhythm. One video per week is realistic for me, and if I get faster and editing, I can either post more frequently, or more in depth (longer) videos. I’m planning tutorials, sew-alongs, show and tell style videos, and more. There’s a learning curve to anything new, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. I hope you’ll join me over there!
